The cost is 10 cents for each coupon “clip,” which is when a customer saves your digital coupon offer to their personal shopping list. Additionally, there is a 15 cents per redemption fee for when a customer redeems the coupon at checkout.
The ratio of clips to redemptions (or “conversion rate”) will vary by deal, but are mostly commonly impacted by your discount value, the type of product on offer, the quantity of UPCs included in the offer, and visibility within the store.
There are no setup fees, clearinghouse charges, or third-party fees of any kind. The only remaining fee is a bill-back on the discount value of your coupon which will be included on your monthly invoice statement from GroceryPress.
Invoices are sent via email by GroceryPress every 30 days on the accrued clips, redemptions, and discount bill-back during that timeframe. GroceryPress will handle all reimbursements for retailers participating in your offer.
We typically require a minimum commitment of 5,000 coupon clips for your offer to be featured on our retailer network.
The majority of coupons trend between a redemption rate of 4-9%, although this range is impacted by several factors, included the aggressiveness and simplicity of your offer, in addition to the type of product, retail price, and shelf-placement in store. Recent reports have shown the national redemption rate of digital coupons closer to 3.5%, so vendors participating on GroceryPress typically see a nice bump over this benchmark.
We normally run campaigns for 30 or 60 days, although we highly recommend setting up the campaign to run for 60 days to optimize the conversion rate of your offer. Many customers may require 1-2 weeks after clipping the coupon to redeem it in-store. Your budget does not need to be impacted by a longer timeline if you set up clip and/or redemption limit, as these limits will remove your coupon offer from the platform the moment they are reached regardless of the timeline.
We typically need 2 weeks to get the coupon on our platform and perform the necessary testing to make sure there are no issues at the store level in terms of customer experience.
Coupons will typically go live on the 1st and 15th of each month, but occasionally go live outside of this schedule in special circumstances.
A “coupon collection” is a group of coupons that are related to a specific theme, such as “Summer Grilling” or “Healthy Snacking”. Coupons in collections typically get more views and will normally be advertised by the retailer more. There are many types of deals you can offer on GroceryPress, and the options will be listed within the online registration form. The most popular offer is a standard discount, i.e. Save $1.00 off X Product(s). You can have your coupon configured for a specific UPC, a group of UPCs or an entire product line. You can also offer buy one get one free or buy two and save X. The amount saved can be a dollar value or a percentage.
We give the retailer the final decision on whether coupons for alcoholic products will be displayed to their customer network. If a retailer approves of an offer they will only display it within states where its is legal to offer discounts on alcoholic products.
GroceryPress continues to add new retailers to our network every month, and currently includes over 125 natural and specialty retail locations across the country. It is important to note that your coupon will only be offered to customers that shop at retail locations which currently stock the UPCs included within your offer. GroceryPress is directly integrated with the active product files carried by each retailer, and will not display your offer to customers shopping at retailers who are not currently stocking your products. A campaign summary report will be sent out at the completion of your coupon campaign which will offer you a summary statement of customer activity including total customer views, clips, saves, and store distribution. Additionally, at the end of each month you will receive an invoice statement with details on coupon clips and redemptions covering the previous 30 day period.
We ask for images should be 800x800 at a resolution of at least 72dpi with a clear shot of the label/product packaging. If your offer is for a group of products you can opt to have the photo of multiple products or a single product from that group, although we tend to recommend having a clear shot of a single product that prominently features your logo.
After you complete the form someone from our Account Management team will contact you with an Insertion Order for you to review. Once you have reviewed it and it is correct just reply with an approval.
